How to enter a project
A simple, step-by-step guide for the Chairman’s assistant, finance person or architect. No computer knowledge needed.
Use the Next ▸ button below, or the → key on a keyboard, or swipe on a phone.
What is this app, in one minute
What am I doing here?
- The Chairman wants one answer. Will the project have enough cash every quarter — and if not, how much must be arranged, and by when?
- The app works it out from figures. Land, areas, selling rate, loan. You type those in. The app does the maths.
- Your job is the typing, not the deciding. You enter and update figures. The Chairman runs the test and reads the result.
- You will not see results. That is on purpose. Unless the Chairman has also given you “View”, you see forms, not answers.
What you need before you start
What should I have ready?
- Your own login. The Chairman made a username and passphrase for you. Do not use his.
- The project figures on paper or in a file. Plot size, FSI, built-up areas, today’s selling rate, bank loan amount, interest rate, when the loan starts, how long the project runs.
- The order of work (only if you have it). Which step comes after which — approvals, digging, foundation, RCC, finishing, handover — with rough months and cost. Optional.
- Any phone, tablet or computer. Open the internet browser and go to irg-rcs.com. Nothing to install.
Step 1 — Sign in
How do I get in?
- Go to irg-rcs.com. Press the Sign in button at the top right.
- Use “Sign in”, not “Sign on”. “Sign on” is only for the Chairman, once, to create the company account. You always use Sign in.
- Type your username and passphrase. Then type the 6-digit code that arrives on your mobile or e-mail. Either one works.
- You are in. The dashboard appears on the left side of the screen.
Step 2 — Open the project form
Where do I type the figures?
- Look at the left side (the dashboard). Find the group called “Your projects”.
- Press “Add New Project”. A form opens in the middle of the screen.
- Already started a project? Press “Group’s Projects” instead. Then press the project’s name to open the same form with the saved figures.
- One project = one phase or one building group. A township with three phases is three projects. The Chairman adds them together later.
Step 3 — The first four boxes
What goes in each box?
Horizon Towers Phase 1India · MumbaiINR · Crore16Step 4 — Land and areas
Which numbers, and in what form?
435602.590000 / 6000 / 028000Step 5 — The bank loan
What does the bank part mean?
4011.53Step 6 — Save
How do I save, and what happens?
- Look at the bottom of the dashboard. There is a row of buttons: Save · Upload · Download · Copy · Exit. Press Save.
- The app checks your figures. If something is missing or impossible (a negative area, no duration), a message appears under the form. Fix it and press Save again.
- First save = the project is registered. It gets a code such as M-03. The Chairman is told automatically.
- Changing figures later? Write the reason. The box “Why did you change the figures?” must be filled on every update — for example “Bank sanction revised to 45 Cr, 21 Aug”. “Update” alone is not accepted.
Step 7 — The work plan and the template
What is a template? Where is it? How do I use it?
- What it is. A ready-made list of the usual work steps in order, so you do not start from a blank page. “Mumbai residential spine” has the normal Mumbai sequence from approvals to handover. “Simple 5-step” is the shortest version.
- Where it is. Dashboard → “Work plan — decide” → “Edit steps”. At the top of that screen there is a drop-down box called Template.
- How to use it. Choose a template. The list of steps fills in. Change any step’s months or cost to match your project. Add a step with “+ Add step”, or leave one out. Then press “Save steps”.
- What “After step #” means. Which step must finish before this one can start. Foundation comes after excavation, so its “After step” is the excavation row number.
Step 8 — Check that it went through
How do I know it worked?
- Your projects → Group’s Projects. Your project is in the list, with its code and the time you saved it.
- Account & system → Transaction Log. There is a line with your name and “T-10” (new project) or “T-11” (update).
- Tell the Chairman the project code. He presses Run, reads the grade, and decides. Only he can run it.
- Made a mistake? Open the project again and correct it. Remember the reason box. The old figure stays in the history; the new one is used.
Step 9 — Sign off
How do I finish properly?
- Press “Sign off” at the top right and confirm. Your session ends. Nothing is left on the computer or phone.
- Next time you will need your passphrase and a new code again. There is no “remember me” — on purpose.
- Shared computer? Always sign off. If you forget, the app locks itself after 30 minutes anyway.
Common slips — and the fix
What usually goes wrong?
| What people type | What happens | Type instead |
|---|---|---|
| “40 Cr” or “43,560” in a number box | The app says it is not a number | 40 or 43560 |
| Duration in months or years | Wrong cash picture | Quarters: 4 years = 16 |
| A future selling rate | Sales look too rosy | Today’s real rate — the app escalates |
| Update without a reason | Save is refused | One line: what changed, why, when |
| The Chairman’s login | Breaks the record of who did what | Your own username |
| Leaving without Sign off | Session stays open on that device | Always Sign off |
